Concepcion Montes weaves coiled juncus baskets and willow acorn storage baskets. She is known for her stunning Kumeyaay coiled rattlesnake baskets and finely coiled earings jewerly.

Concepcion lives in the Kumeyaay tribal community of San Jose de la Zorra, Baja California, Mexico.
