
NICK WILSON, Cocopah Indigenous Artist
Nick Wilson handcrafts traditional gourd rattles, peon sets, war clubs, bow & arrows, lances, willow bark skirts and games in the traditional California ways. He is a Cocopah birdsinger. Nick is the Tribal Leader and also sits on the city council of San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora. The Cocopah people are indigenous to Northern Baja California, Sonora, Southern California and Southwest Arizona.
Nick lives in the Cocopah community of Pozo de Arvisu, Sonora.
