VICKY CAÑEDO CASTRO Paipai Basketweaver

Vicky Cañedo weaves coiled baskets and uses piñon pine needle sewn with fan palm to weave her traditional Native American baskets. She is the daughter of basketweaver Teresa Castro.

Vicky lives in the Kumeyaay Paipai Indian community of Santa Catarina, Baja California.

This California Indian artist's work may be purchased at Shumup Ko Hup Indian store in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park.
